OECD PISA Digital Literacy report to be released Tuesday 28 June 2011

22-06-11

The OECD will release a new PISA report, "Students on Line: Reading and Using Digital Information", that tests how 15-year olds use computers and the Internet to learn, on Tuesday 28 June 2011.

16 OECD countries took part (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, France, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Spain) and three non-member economies (Colombia, Hong Kong - China, and Macao - China).

PISA is a collaborative effort undertaken by OECD countries and more than 30 other economies to measure how well students, at age 15, are prepared to meet the challenges they may encounter in future life. It provides insights into factors that influence the development of skills and attitudes at home and at school, and examines the implications for policy development.
